Targeted at Small Office Home Office (SOHO) segment, Druvaa today announced Free (of Cost and Support) 25 full-feature inSync ver 1.x licesenses. - http://www.druvaa.com/products/insync_evaluate.html
To avail the licenses the user needs to download hand deploy inSync Server and register at the website. Druvaa would never charge any money for released licenses.
The announcement also coincides with Druvaa inSync release 1.1.3 which adds open-file/locked-file support which is particularly very useful for Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007 backup. ( GA would be available shortly at - download link)

It was a great event with major focus on Indian entrepreneur ecosystem and innovation. Druvaa inSync got a good response, and helped us to understand the target audience better.

Indian Angel Network and Accord International (Hong Kong) announced a strategic seed investment into Druvaa. With this Rehan yar Khan, IAN, the founding chairman of Flora2000 and Roger Arondekar, Accord, will join the board of Druvaa.
Druvaa Software is a startup with software product offerings for Business High Availability and Continuous Data Protection (CDP). Druvaa Replicator is a Data Protection and Disaster Recovery (DR) product for high availability servers. This product is targeted at medium to large enterprises. Druvaa inSync is a unique product offering enterprise CDP for laptops and desktops. Druvaa is soon expected to enter mobile space with its CDP offerings.
Indian Angel Network is the first pan-India Angel network with successful entrepreneurs and high profile CEOs interested in investing in early stage businesses across India having potential to create significant value. Druvaa Software today announced the general availability for Druvaa inSync - a Continuous Data Protection (CDP) solution for laptops and desktops. Druvaa inSync is unique enterprise offering and enables fast, secure and continuous sync of critical PC data to an enterprise wide central server over LAN or unsecured WAN. The product is mainly targeted at the mobile laptop users and cross-office PC backups.
Some of the Key features -
- Blazingly Fast - fast HTTPS based backup
- Amazingly Simple - 5 step installation and setup
- Super Secure - 256 bit SSL encryption
- Bandwidth Scheduler - Schedule bandwidth to sync changes at byte level.
- WAN Optimizer - Smaller packets for better WAN performance.
- Web Based recovery - Facilitates remote web based secure recovery.
Version 1.0 is available for Linux and Windows. Two important features - Time based recovery and single instance store are still beta were excluded from this release and only available for beta partners.

Druvaa Software today announced the general availability of Druvaa Replicator version 1.5. Druvaa Replicator is a volume data replication and disaster recovery solution. It near-synchronously and non-disruptively replicates production data to target storage across heterogeneous operating environments (storage, application and OS) and over unlimited distances.
The new release comes with 4 new features -
- Fast writable snapshots
- Microsoft cluster (MSCS) support
- Multi-User interface with role-based access control
- Live Reports - graphs and system alerts
Version 1.5 is released on Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 server and RedHat Enterprise Linux release 4.x
